DRUMMING WITHOUT A DRUM KIT

It is perfectly possible to make a start on your drumming journey without owning a drum kit. Initially learning beats and developing some basic hand/foot co ordination you really just need something to hit and something to hit it with! I used my mums knitting needles on my bed with a pillow for a cymbal back in the day. The only thing you may have to buy would be a pair of drumsticks , but a fairly descent pair should only set you back between five and ten pounds. As for 'The Kit' an arrangement of cushions is a good old favourite. There's upturned buckets, dining chairs, carpets, beds and saucepans, dustbins (not recommended!) If you sit in front of an armchair with a couple of old cushions that's a good place to start.
So there's nothing holding you back.
Let's go!
